Indonesia is rich in traditions and culture to this day, one of the traditions
that is still thick today is the tradition of donating which is located in Jayamukti
Village, Banyusari District, Karawang Regency, The tradition of donating is still
carried out, especially at circumcision or wedding receptions, by giving envelopes
containing money, staple foods, and gifts where the gift must be returned to the
giver if carrying out ikeguatan or it can be said to be a debt. Based on this context,
namely how the practice of donating at wedding receptions in the community of
Jayamukti Village, Banyusari District, Karawang Regency, and how the purpose of
Islamic law and customary law in the tradition of donating in wedding receptions
in the community of Jayamukti Village, Banyusari District, Karawang Regency.
The motto of this research is field research, which is research whose object
is about events that occur in a group of people, by using qualitative research
methods, namely research methods that are commonly called naturalistic research
methods because the research is usually recognized in scientific conditions (natural
settings). This study uses the research approach used in this study using three
research approaches, namely the Statue Approach, Case Approach and Conceptual
Approach.
This study uses the Receptie Exit theory by Hazairin, this theory is seen as
analyzing that customary law can run at the same time as the misappropriation that
causes the haram of the tradition. The collection of data for this thesis is by
observation and interviews.
The results of the research findings show that the tradition of donating in
the community of Jayamukti Village, Banyusari District, Karawang Regency is a
form of help, but there are some people in Jayamukti village who expect to return
the money given by recording it to make it easier to return it, In Islam seniri is not
obliged to perform it because there is no rule that requires donation when someone
performs walimah.
